I have been putting up images of the paintings that I have painted of the beautiful view from Blanchard Mountain. Each painting a little different from the next. This is where my husband of 39 year died two weeks ago.

These paintings of the view from Blanchard mountain look very similar to each other with subtle changes. I'm now working on emptying my husbands office up at the University. I really do hope to do paintings everyday again soon.

This is a large painting of the view from Blanchard Mountain. I made it by turning the canvas on it's side and dripping the thinned oil paint down the canvas.

Another view from Blanchard Mt. One of my husband's friends sent me a photo of him in his big orange paraglider wing over Blanchard Mountain on his last flight. It is beautiful. I will do a painting from the photo soon.

This is an older painting. I didn't paint today because my sons and I and my husbands family went up to the Mountain were he die Wednesday. What a beautiful place to die. Later this week I will post some of my paintings of the view from that mountain top that I have painted. I don't think that I will get to do much painting This week.

I don't feel at all lonely. I feel surrounded by love and comfort and kindness.I saw my husband's body today dressed in his teaching outfit. He looked asleep. I cut a small lock of his hair. I'll have it placed in a locket and wear it next to my heart.

I painted this a little bit ago. One of my favorite Mother/Child paintings. Hope you like it. I enjoyed the 5 days of being down in Stanwood and Camano Island plein air paintings. I learned a lot and made new artist friends and got to know old friends better. I'll do it again next year.

Then I came home to frame WET paintings for the show tomorrow.I will have 8 painting there.Still wet. A group of us will be painting on the street in Stanwood tomorrow.

My second day of plein air painting. Today we painted in Stanwood. This painting of mine won an award. I painted another 3 paintings . They will all go in the Art Festival down in Stanwood this weekend. I plan to paint at two beaches on Camano Island tomorrow.
