Lake House Grapevine,landscape,oil on canvas,30x24.priceNFS

Today's painting is inspired by the paintings of Monet that I saw in Vancouver last month. I loved his paintings of the wisteria vines. It looked to me as if he scraped a color off of his canvas and exposed the color underneath. Something you can't see from a book picture. I didn't do that in this painting but may work more on it. I have been very busy this Summer. I hope to do more paintings of the lake as the seasons change. Also a thank you to poulous bhatti for the nice comments about my blog. It is good to get feedback and also to know people do read and enjoy what I put up each day.

Seascape1,seascape,oil on canvas,24x36,priceNFS

My sons found this painting in my late husband's home office. I painted it for him about 30 years ago. In that time it became buried by his books and research. My husband always encouraged me to paint. The other painting I did for his office back then sold to a friend of ours. I think this painting shows where I was headed with my drip paintings.
