Dorothy's Poppies,still life,oil on canvas,16x12,price$400
I originally saw these poppies growing in someone's garden. I went up to the door to ask for some seeds. The home turned out to be my friend's home, Tom and Dorothy. She was happy to give me the seeds and the poppies have grown in my garden ever since then.

Two Peace Roses in Vase,still life,oil on canvas,8x8,price $200
Today I painted these roses with just the natural light in my Studio. The spot light the other day gave the yellow rose a greener look. So I like the natural light better for this painting.

More Rose of Sharon,still life,oil on canvas,10x8,price$350
This is a pretty painting but hard for me to look at. I painted it two years ago on this date. It was the day my husband died. I had no 6th sense that he died while I was painting. I didn't know until the police man came to my door that evening.
He was a wonderful man and always encouraged me to do my artwork. I am very lucky to have been his wife for almost 39 years.

I worked on this large painting some more. It was last worked on maybe 4 months ago and put aside. Sometimes I need time to see what a painting needs.
