 I picked all of my Hydrangeas this morning. One broke short, so I stuck it in a jar with a small rose. My plan was to paint the large bouquet of Hydrangeas but the little jar was too sweet to pass up.

Wild and climbing roses on the window sill.  A couple of my rose bushes didn't make it through our winter and reverted to the root stock. So I have pretty red roses. I put them in the vase with my white climbing  roses for this still life.  It seems that I ended up with a patriotic painting. Red, white and blue.
