A call came out to local artist to do a painting and donate the painting for the local school art enrichment program. I'm all for art in the schools. The 6x6 canvas are free from our local Dakota Art Store. I put a price on this painting on line. If it sells the money will go to our art program. The Paintings will hang on November 3rd or 7th. There will be many, many artist 6x6 paintings on the wall. I will post a photo of the show for all to see. This painting is of the apples that I picked this weekend from our trees. This is a great year for apple in Washington State. I have 3 boxes full and still some on the tree.

This is the color scheme of analogous colors, the colors that sit next to each other on the color wheel. One color the most dominant the other two are accent colors.

This painting is one of 5 paintings I am doing to study Color Theory. This is the complementary scheme of red and green. I used red/purple and green/blue as well in this painting. Tomorrow I'll put another up.

I'm back to oils. This painting I started last year but I needed to add a rose for a better composition. Then I lightened the background a bit. I also started a series today. I'll put them all up in a couple of days to show what I'm doing. Fun with color theory.
