This is the second orange primrose that I painted in a softer, almost a watercolor, style. Today I varnished most of my winter paintings outside with Gamvar. The Gamblin co. is so helpful if you have a question or two they will get right back to you with help and knowledge about their products.

This is the first orange primrose I painted yesterday. I felt it was a bit heavy so today's orange primrose painting is a bit looser. I like them both. They are just different styles.

This is today's painting of apples from the Co-Op. I used 16 brushes to paint this. The more brushes I use helps me keep my paints clean.

I haven't painted grapes in a while. These were sitting on our kitchen counter looking as if they needed to be painted. I started out with a lose brush painting and ended up with more detail then I wanted to do. But I'm happy with it and it was fun to do.

This is another daffodil field. This was a fun painting to do today. Since we are having daffodils blooming already in February, I fear the tulips will be out way before the Tulip festival in April. I also worked more on Lush Island Sailing.
Wednesday, February 18, 2015
Today I painted two paintings. This one of the Skagit daffodil fields was from a photo I took last year. We are having an early Spring here. The boat is taken of our lush green Islands here in Washington State.

This is today's painting of purple tulips in Skagit county. I liked the color harmony. Also I worked more on the painting I started yesterday.

Today's painting is another stem from yesterday's orchid plant. Still working on shapes, color and the over all composition of the painting.
Thursday, February 12, 2015
Today I painted the orchids that are in my studio. This morning I joined my drawing group for the first time since early December. We drew Jim. Jim's wife has been ill and it sadly shows in his face. I've been so busy painting for the Dutch beverage company. That job maybe almost over.

Yet another daffodil painting. I'm working on the mass of color and shapes. Rather than trying to copy each detail.
Tuesday, February 10, 2015
This is the same group of daffodils I painted yesterday. Today I painted only half and placed them down on the floor.

Today I saw this spray of yellow in Trader Joe's. So I drought home the daffodils to paint.A sure sign of Spring. They are forming their yellow heads right now on the south side of our house.

This is another painting of the area by the Bay where yesterdays painting was done. This area is the beginning of a beautiful drive along the bay. It is called Chuckanut drive.

This is an older paint. One of 4 that I painted for a show that canceled. They were all the same 12x12 size and painted of this area.

This is a painting for President's Day. I'm still working on other paintings so I thought I would put up a couple of older paintings. The other grape painting sold to my friend Gloria and then she gave it to someone when she moved to Mexico.
Thursday, February 5, 2015
This painting was painted with a brush and a palette knife. I had to take the picture indoors so the yellows seem washed out. I'll try to take it again when the sun comes out.
Wednesday, February 4, 2015
This is today's painting if an orange and slices. I had to work more on another project that had an orange slice so when that was done I painted this.

One Friday my husband gave me a large, tall bouquet of flowers for my birthday. Yesterday was my son's birthday so I cut down one of the flowers short and stuck it in a pewter pitcher for a center piece. We all agreed that I should paint the centerpiece. I don't know what the flowers are called.

This was the painting that had the peach. I removed the peach remembering one of my instructors at the Academy, Ben Kamihira, saying if it doesn't add anything to the painting remove it.
