Park Bark.figure,oil on canvas,10x8,price$450

This was a couple walking their tiny dog in one of our local parks by the bay. They don't look like their doggy. So there goes that theory, that you start to look like your pet.

Tulip Fields in the Rain, figure, oil on canvas,10x8,price$200

This painting is from a photo I took yesterday while down in the tulip field. I had to paint The little girl in pink with the bright flowers behind her.

Friday, April 3, 2015

This is another painting I did Tuesday night of our model. No spot light on her only the over head fluorescent lights. Makes for a very flat person painting when there isn't a spot light. Today we spent time down in the tulip fields in the rain. Lovely colors.I'll paint from the photos. Too wet to sit there and paint.

April Geranium,still life,oil on canvas,10x8,price$200

Today I painted one of my geranium plants with a white background.I've been having fun with these paintings. Last night I returned to our long pose figure group and painted Chelsea. I haven't been there since November. So a dark background went up behind our model and no spotlight. No light except the Fluorescent light over head and a green light by the door. No spot light makes for a figure with no form, just flat. So I did the best I could painting Chelsea. I will suggest that we try the spot light again in a couple of weeks.
